Discussion topics - mixed

Twelve topical / controversial subjects on slips that can be cut up and drawn out of a hat etc.

Cut up roles and students choose at random. Groups of 5 - 10. Tell them they are in a balloon which is sinking. Only a certain number (decide) can stay on board. The others have to go. Students have to justify their places in the ballon

You be the judge

Six crime cases. Student's take it in turns to read out their case. The group must decide on sentences for each case in turn. Can also be used to practice criticism, should have etc.
