Graded reading: articles

If you are a student and want to practice your reading, you can use the articles in graded English on this page to help you. They can also be used in class.

The articles are about topical issues that you can find in the news and are from 200 - 500 words in length. Each one is simplified (graded) so that is suitable for students at a particular level: elementary, intermediate or advanced.

Below each article is a list of the more difficult words that is linked to the Cambridge Online Dictionary and an online comprhension and vocaublary quiz. You can also download the articles to keep in PDF form.
