Help topics > adding sessions to web pages

web page - overview
creating web pages

Click the new session icon.

date and session number
These must be set for every session. Session numbers are set automatically. However, you can change a session number if you wish.

notes, homework and introductory comments
These are all optional. 'Introductory comments' are for any online resources from ELTbase you wish to add (see below). You can also add raw html links to resources that are not indexed on ELTbase.

alerts
You can alert your students to forthcoming tests, assignments or other events. An alert appears as red and yellow text across the top of the page. Alerts remain until they are removed or changed.

When you have added all of the text content for the session, click submit session.

You can now add resouces to your session if you so wish.

adding resouces to sessions

You can add resources from ELTbase directly to your session (in the same way as you can add resources to a lesson - see lessons)

Click the 'start adding' button. You will see a green tab appear at the very top of the page displaying the name of the session.

Use the main ELTbase navigation bar at the top of the page to locate resources that you want to add to this session. You will notice that most items - book units, worksheets, quizzes etc. now have checkboxes next to them. Check as many items as you want to add and click the 'Add to session' button at the bottom of the page to add the items to the session. You must click the 'Add session' button every time you want to add resources.

To return to the session at any time, click the green tab at the top of the page.

When you have finished adding resources from ELTbase, return to the session and click 'stop adding'.

Note You can only add resources to one session (or lesson) at a time, so you will not be able to add to another session or lesson until you have done this.

Viewing your web page

You can view the current session of your web page by clicking the 'view current session in web page' link at the top of the session page or on the main page for the web page. The www.studypage.net page will open in a new window.

You can bookmark this page and distribute the URL as necessary.
