Instructions

Give out the first sheet containing a gapped text along with a list of the past participles and another list of the adverbs that are used in the story.

Students first match the past participles with the gaps in the text.
They then find the correct auxiliary verbs from the second list and add them to the main verbs.
Finally, they add two adverbs (ending in ‘ly’) into the right places in the story.
