Strong adjectives speaking activity

Worksheet description
Eighteen cards with statements or questions using a gradable adjective. (e.g. Was it cold in Toronto?) Others have to respond using an absolute adjective. (e.g.It was absolutely freezing!)
Instructions
Cut up the cards as indicated. Place them face-down in a pile in the middle of the group. Students take it in turn to read out the statement or question in the top (white) half of the card. The first student to give the correct response, 'wins' the card. The answers are in the bottom (grey) part of the card.
